Hope you're having a wonderful day with your sweetie!!
Mister Studly and I celebrated Valentine's Day early. We got the in law's to watch the kids for us on Thursday night and we headed out for a date night. Since we've been dieting like crazy people, we decided to have one cheat night for our special Valentine's Day date. We love Joe's Crab Shack, but there isn't one very close to us. So we drove 35 miles to the nearest one and ordered our favorite thing in the world (and probably the most fattening), Crab nachos. Usually we order one each and just go to town, but it appears our stomachs have shrunk because I barely finished a third of mine and Mister Studly could barely eat half of his. Usually he's eaten all of his and picking at my plate near the end. So we were pretty excited that we couldn't eat very much!! It's a good thing too, because when we woke up the next morning, we weighed ourselves and Mister Studly had gained 3 1/2 lbs and I had gained a half a pound. Bleh! But oh so worth it. The crab nachos are seriously delightful.
After that we went to the absolute coolest movie theater I have ever been to. It was awesome!!! First off... you get to pick your seats! So you can take your time going potty, purchasing snacks, etc and still have your seat. It took us awhile to pick out our seats because we were just so confused about where to sit. We had never been inside that theater before so we wanted to get the best ones. We eventually had the cashier pick our seats for us because we were so confused. When we were done purchasing our seats, we turned around and this one lady in the line behind us was so pissed that we had taken so long. I laughed at her in my snarky way. She was giving me the evil eye and I just laughed and said "boy that chick's pissed! I guess we held up the line!" I thought she was going to beat me up. Crazy lady!
Patience is a virtue!
So back to this movie theater... there are restaurants INSIDE where you can purchase anything from fish and chips to pizza hut to gelato and take that inside to the movie. It was so cool! I've never seen anything like it. And we went early enough that we only had to pay matinee price and that was only $6.00!! Score!
We saw a scary movie (perfect for Valentine's Day right?). I was pretty freaked out and stuck close to Mister Studly the entire rest of the night.
I love celebrating Valentine's Day early like that because we avoid all the crowns and the 45 minute wait to get into restaurants.
We had a great little date night.
What are your Valentine's Day plans??
